Sound is everywhere we go and in everything we do. Even when there is a dearth of sound it still
affects us emotionally. There is nothing more unique than being under 80 feet of water listening to
your respirator, hearing the bubbles or the squeaking of rubber while SCUBA diving. The fire of a .45
Caliber 1911 handgun, deep thump of a shotgun, or rotors of a military helicopter raise the adrenalin.
All these elements are a few types of sounds that I have heard and loved throughout my lifetime.
It is these types of experiences that gamers seek to attain. Sound is the element that draws the
individual further and deeper into experiencing an entirely different world. Sound scares them, makes
their adrenalin pump, makes them laugh or makes them sit at the edge of their seat knowing something
is about to happen. Working through numerous sources, I work to create and provide elements that can
encompass the individual in an audio experience. I strive to continue to learn more ways that utilize or
create sound. I see sound as an art form whether it is in the field, recording the elements, in the studio
creating the elements, recording a voice-over or in the planning stages of a project.
